Olympus Pen E-P7

With the Pen E-P7, Olympus returns to the old Pen naming scheme in 2021 and at the same time gives the compact mid-range DSLM some improvements. Compared to the de-facto predecessor Pen E-PL10, the image sensor has been updated to the new variant with 20 megapixels of resolution, as it has already been used in the more expensive Olympus OM-D cameras for some time. Furthermore, the maximum continuous shooting speed has been slightly increased to 15 fps. The image buffer holds up to 42 RAW images, which is considerably more than before.

If you want to achieve the maximum speed for continuous shooting, you should definitely use SDHC or SDXC memory cards with UHS-II interface with the Olympus Pen E-P7. With these cards, almost 200 MB/s are possible, which means that about 10-13 pictures per second are possible in RAW format.

Although the Olympus Pen E-P7 is not a DSLM camera with a pronounced focus on video recording due to the lack of a microphone connection, it should at least be a model with speed class U3 or V30 for corresponding recordings in 4K quality. All 4K-capable memory cards are marked accordingly in the table.
