The Nikon D5300 was one of the most popular upper entry-level DSLR cameras ever, even many years after its initial release (2013). The reasons? A very good image quality, combined with nice features such as a tilt and swivel screen or a 39-point autofocus system.
We generally recommend SDHC and SDXC memory cards with an UHS-I-interface and a SD Speed Class from 10/U1 or above, if you're using a Nikon D5300. More expensive UHS-II-cards do not offer any advantage in terms of speed (burst mode) or video capabilities.
